Visitor Info Centre in the Silvery Slocan Museum building

The museum building was the Bank of Montreal from 1897 to the 1960s. It has now been restored to its original condition with some terrific artifacts inside. In the photo above, the long low building on the right was built as the office for government staff during the internment of Japanese Canadians in the years of World War II.

We operate 9am to 5pm from Canada Day to Labour Day.
In the summer our phone number is 250 358-2719.

You can always reach us at vic@slocanlake.com

Click here for a summary of statistics for our Visitor Centre, 2000 - 2008.
There are two tallies, "Parties per Hour" is the number of groups who come in,
and "Total Visitors" is the total number of people.
