Chamber Bylaws

A strong Chamber of Commerce is a voice for business owners in our region. Together we can help create an environment where economic development is pursued in balance with the natural values we all cherish here.

2010 will be a year of some changes for the Chamber.  We are plannning to renovate our web site, and we hope to co-operate much more closely with the Slocan Economic Development Commission from now on.

What are the benefits of membership?
  • Access to Chamber sponsored disability and life insurance at discount rates
  • Free representation in the Visitor Centre and in our publications.
  • The chance to participate in local issues
What projects is the Chamber taking on this year?
  • The Slocan Valley Recreation Map and annual Tourist Services Brochure are well received in the area.
  • The Visitor Centre will operate in the Silvery Slocan Museum again this summer. Come in and see our new systems.
  • Our May Days breakfast is always a big hit.
  • Local All-Candidates meetings are Chamber sponsored.
We always appreciate input from our members. And if you want to participate in this time of great change, we are welcoming new directors.
