Chamber Bylaws

A strong Chamber of Commerce is a voice for business owners and all citizens in our region. Together we can help create an environment where economic development is pursued in balance with the natural values we all cherish here.

2012 will be a year of some changes for the Chamber.  Please  join us as a Member or as a Director, and help us make decisions about how to proceed.

What are the benefits of membership?
  • Access to Chamber sponsored disability and life insurance at discount rates
  • Free representation in the Visitor Centre and in our publications.
  • The chance to participate in local issues
What projects is the Chamber taking on this year?
  • The Slocan Valley Recreation Map and annual Tourist Services Brochure are well received in the area.
  • The Visitor Centre will operate in the Silvery Slocan Museum again this summer. We will be open this year from May long weekend to Labour Day (an extra month compared to previous years).
  • Our May Days breakfast is always a big hit.
  • Local All-Candidates meetings are Chamber sponsored.
We always appreciate input from our members. And if you want to participate in this time of great change, we are welcoming new Directors.
