A strong Chamber of Commerce is a voice for business owners in our region. Together we can help create an environment where economic development is pursued in balance with the natural values we all cherish here.

The Chamber has taken a stance against cell phones in our area, and that controversy may come up again soon.  That's the kind of  local issue where the Chamber has a chance to have input at the highest levels of government. So please join us and we'll have a strong membership behind our Chamber efforts.

What are the benefits of membership?
  • Access to Chamber sponsored disability and life insurance at discount rates
  • Free representation in the Visitor Centre and in our publications.
  • The chance to participate in local issues
What projects is the Chamber taking on this year?
  • The Slocan Valley Recreation Map and annual Tourist Services Brochure are well received in the area.
  • Slocanlake.com is being continually updated, and we received a grant this year from the Columbia Basin Trust to update the photographic content of our web site.
  • the Visitor Centre will operate in the Silvery Slocan Museum again this summer. Come in and see our new systems.
  • The cell phone issue might surface again.
  • Our May Days breakfast is always a big hit.
  • Local All-Candidates meetings are Chamber sponsored.
We always appreciate input from our members. And if you want to participate in this time of great change, we are welcoming new directors.
