Organizations and non-profit Societies

Area "H" North TV Society -  the Area "H" North TV Society has been operating in one form or another since 1957. It currently rebroadcasts six TV and three radio signals to residents in the upper Slocan Valley.

The Friday Market -  The Friday Market happens in the heart of New Denver every Friday from June to September, featuring locally grown vegetables, flowers, fruits, herbs and perennials, as well as the work of many artisans.
The Galena Trail -  a 13 km. Non-Motorized Recreational Trail which begins in Rosebery on the Slocan Lake, passes by New Denver and proceeds up Carpenter Creek to Three Forks on Carpenter Creek.
Hidden Garden Gallery -  a public display gallery and gathering place for the interchange of ideas and creative skills. Available to artists from all fields.
Lucerne Association for Community Education -  "LACE" manages the historic Bosun Hall in New Denver in order to provide a venue open to everyone, with a focus on the arts, particularly music and theatre.
Sandon Historical Society -  a comprehensive website featuring Sandon. Included is information about the Sandon Museum and other current attractions, plus extensive historical information.
Silverton Historical Society -  the Silverton Historical Society, with it's archives and attractions, captures the history of the village from its silver boom beginnings in the 1890's.
Slocan Valley Cycling Club -  a non-profit, community service bike club based in New Denver, BC.
Slocan Writers Guild -  newsletters describing monthly meetings, member stories on-line, winning entries from Lucerne School Grade 12 writing contest
Worldsign Communications Society -  information about Symbolvision and the Worldsign gesture language developed by David Orcutt of Perry Siding in the Slocan Valley of British Columbia, Canada.
