New Denver and Silverton Valhalla Film School and Festival Students will learn the principles of animated motion using a variety of techniques. They'll create their own movies with sound, and present their work on the final evening of the film school. Drawing skills are not essential for this workshop - patience and ability to concentrate are! Featuring the best of the NFB's animation and documentary film work, each evening of the Festival will focus on a different theme.  July Silverton Valhalla Intensive School of Theatre Arts (ViSTA) A 1 to 2 week summer drama program for children and youth ages 8-18, with top notch theatre faculty from across Western Canada, in both professional credentials and in working with children and youth.This year the younger group will be working on movement, voice, scriptwriting or improvisation and the youth group will tackle the mysteries of the "Bard" in the Shakespeare production. August 9 -15 Silverton & New Denver Valhalla Summer School of Music (VSSM) A week-long celebration of music and learning. Now into its ninth year, it is a well established music program that offers a broad range of classes to children of all ages and adults alike. We provide instruction in the disciplines of violin, viola, cello, piano, choir, adult & young children's music programs in a non-competitive, family-oriented environment guided by outstanding teachers & performers that relate especially well to developing musicians.

August 16 - 22 New Denver Valhalla Intensive Performance Program (VIP Program) The VIP Programs are a week of Master classes and or Technique for serious students wishing more intensive study with a particular instructor. Our highly accomplished instructors provide a perfect environment for a student to focus on technique development, refinement of solo repertoire and or chamber music skills. We offer classes in a half-day format in the disciplines of: violin, cello, chamber music, piano and fiddling. Acceptance to these programs is contingent on approval of the instructor(s).
